Philanthropy Begins at Home
Bridge Builders formed by
employees who donate money for projects to benefit patients and
residents Residents of the Bridges Care
Community are already seeing the benefits of a new employee
giving program. The Bridge Builders, the employee participation
branch of the Bridges Foundation, recently purchased a NuStep
exercise machine for the care community at a cost of $3,675. The
money was raised exclusively
through
employee contributions. About half of the employees at Bridges
are members of the Bridge Builders. Most have elected to donate
directly from each paycheck, while others opted to make an
annual or direct gift. Funds raised will go to projects that
will be of benefit to patients, families, and visitors at the
Bridges Care Community and Bridges Medical Center. The Bridge
Builders also participate in other activities to develop and
promote the facilities and their services.
The youngest 99-year-old we know, Lillie Hasz, tries out
the NuStep which exercises her arms and legs simultaneously. |
